Kirsten Wick
Communications Advisor
In my role as Policy and Research Analyst, I support the Rātā Foundation to better understand community needs, barriers, and strengths. I bring together data, evidence, and community insight into clear, grounded advice that supports thoughtful decision making. What motivates me most is seeing that work connect back to communities and contribute to meaningful change.
Amy brings experience across economics, public policy, data, strategy, advocacy, and community engagement. She has worked across central government, local government, and the non-government sector, with a strong focus on evidence-informed approaches that respond to real community needs.
Her background includes housing and homelessness policy, conservation-focused strategy, and work with community voice and lived experience. She is passionate about using both quantitative and qualitative evidence to support decisions that are practical, values-led, and connected to impact.
Outside of work, Amy is passionate about gender equity and housing, and enjoys running and spending time outdoors.
