Our final Grants Function for 2025 was held on 8 October at the new Marlborough Library Te Kahu o Waipuna, and was an evening of celebration, connection and community.

Our second Grants Function for 2025 was held on 10 September at Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre in Stoke, bringing together members of the community from across the Nelson/Tasman region.

Our Canterbury Grants Function was held on 20 August at Te Rōpū Ākonga o Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury Students’ Association - and was the largest Grants Function ever.

We were excited to attend and host a stall at this year’s SPACPAC Polyfest Festival on Saturday, 22 March.

Grants Functions are our opportunity to celebrate the individuals and organisations working hard to support the communities they serve. Marlborough organisations came together at Renwick Sports & Events Centre for our 2024 Marlborough Grants Function.

Selwyn’s Diwali Festival lit up Lincoln Domain earlier this month, as several thousand attendees enjoyed the traditional ‘Festival of Lights.’

A new rugby festival in east Christchurch is changing the game for young tamariki and their whānau. ‘Games of Ranginui’ is a Linwood Rugby Club initiative catering for year one to eight students from local primary and intermediate schools.

Our last Grants Function of 2023 was hosted at Ūkaipō – the Rangitāne Cultural Centre in Grovetown, Blenheim.

Eighty-four teams, from youth to adult grades, took the field at Burnside Park over Show Weekend for Pacific Series 2023, an event that is so much more than a rugby league tournament.

In October 2023, community organisations in the Nelson/Tasman region gathered at Victory Community Centre in Nelson to connect with one another and Rātā staff and Trustees.

The rich culture of the small Pacific Island nation of Tuvalu is being brought to life in Christchurch, as celebrations for Tuvalu Language Week take place in the city from 1-7 October 2023.

In August 2023, we hosted a record number of attendees at our Canterbury Grants Function, held at Linwood Rugby Football Club in Christchurch.
