Canterbury Grants Function 2026

Celebrating impact, partnership and community connection in Waitaha Canterbury

On 19 August, Rātā Foundation welcomed community partners, stakeholders, trustees and staff to the Christchurch Town Hall for our annual Canterbury Grants Function. Held in The Limes Room, the event provided an opportunity to celebrate the past year’s achievements, share our impact story, and recognise the relationships that help create positive change across our communities.

Guests heard from Board Chair Josiah Tualamali'I, as well as community speakers Grahame Burgess of Delta Community Support Trust and Karaitiana Tickell of Purapura Whetu, whose reflections highlighted the power of community-led action and collaboration. The evening also provided an opportunity for attendees to connect with trustees, staff and other community organisations.

The event concluded with networking and kōrero, celebrating the partnerships and shared commitment that continue to strengthen communities across Waitaha Canterbury.
