Chantelle Te Haara
Communications Advisor
My role is Research Analyst, supporting the Rātā Foundation to better understand community needs, barriers, and strengths, which informs our grant-making. I use application data and grantee feedback to show what and where we fund.
Anji is inspired by everyday heroes who work with and overcome their challenges, such as Nikita Howarth, gold Paralympian and whanau member. Anji has alopecia and loves that her community is seen, such as actor Anthony Carrigan, who also does great work with the Children's Alopecia Project in the US. Angela adores her family, especially her three grandchildren. One is based in Bangkok, so she loves it when she catches up with her daughter and grandson on video calls.
Anji is inspired by art, music, writing, and nature. She feels blessed to be able to work on purpose - it gets her up and out the door. She believes everyone should have opportunities, doors opened, barriers removed, and support when needed.
