Tūao Aotearoa Volunteering New Zealand is an association of volunteer centres, and national and regional organisations with a commitment to volunteering in Aotearoa New Zealand. Their vision is for volunteering to be valued as a vital part of society.

Volunteering New Zealand invites volunteering leaders and co-ordinators to come together in Christchurch on Friday 20th September. The hui will focus on volunteer management and practice, valuing volunteering and approaches to volunteer engagement.

With plenty of networking opportunities, collaboration and great speakers and content, you will engage with peers, be inspired and share ideas, and learn and ignite new ideas and practices.

Learn and share your experiences about:

  • Strengthening resilience for voluntary organisations and groups
  • Good practice and innovation from across Aotearoa
  • Return on investment for volunteers and volunteer leaders
  • Changemakers share their stories of innovation
  • Exploring tech and tools that can make your job easier

You will:

  • Be inspired by a range of practitioners and thought leaders
  • Increase your capability to influence, collaborate, and lead others
  • Learn how to engage effectively with volunteers and about good practice
  • Connect with peers, share, and learn together.

Keynote speakers and facilitated discussions will focus on volunteer management and practice, valuing volunteering, and approaches to volunteer engagement. Confirmed speakers include Minister Louise Upston, The Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector and international speaker Tony Goodrow, President of Better Impact.
