Polyfest 2025

Proud to support SPACPAC Polyfest Canterbury

We were excited to attend and host a stall at this year’s SPACPAC Polyfest Festival on Saturday, 22 March.

Around 40,000 people gathered in North Hagley Park to watch performances from 30 schools across the South Island. Each school had a 15-minute performance to showcase their Pasifika culture, language and identity through song and dance to reflect the diverse Pasifika cultures residing in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The performances were colourful and vibrant and had the crowd on their feet and cheering on the performers throughout the day.

Rātā Foundation has been supporting Polyfest since 2017, and it's always such a delight to immerse ourselves in our vibrant Pacific and multicultural communities. We were set up alongside other community organisations, enabling us to connect directly with many community members and stakeholders, with a great view of the stage at the same time!

We had countless people stopping by to say hello, and it was heartening to see so many genuinely interested in learning more about funding opportunities. It is an honour to serve in our roles as Community Engagement Advisors and Grants Advisors, especially for our Pasifika groups and the diverse multicultural communities we engaged with on Saturday.
