Millie McDonald
Grants Advisor
My role at Rātā Foundation is Grants Advisor. I support community organisations by assessing their funding applications to our responsive programmes (small and large grants), offering personalised advice, and guiding them through our priorities.
Tamarini was born In New Zealand but raised in Samoa. She identifies strongly with her Samoan heritage. Family and church play a big part in Rini's everyday life. As an active youth mentor, she is passionate about initiating activities that help bring Samoan young people together. She believes there are many barriers to youth identifying themselves as Samoan in today's society and works hard to support and empower them to embrace their uniqueness in any space they might be in.
Tamarini was drawn to the Rātā ethos of putting people at the heart of everything they do. She enjoys engaging daily with applicants to understand the barriers for communities in need better and support them in their mahi to provide more equitable access to services, participation, and connection.
