Steve discusses the Rātā journey to connect with Māori to understand the needs and aspirations of Māori in our takiwā.

The journey of maramatanga (understanding) has led to higher-quality engagements and the ability to work more effectively across and in communities to deliver the Rātā purpose of creating an equitable and sustainable society under the korowai of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.  

Steve says that building enduring relationships that are based on shared values, shared alignment and trust has been a big part of the journey.
