What motivated you to be involved with the Rātā Foundation Board?

Over many years I have worked with various groups helping meet a range of needs in our community. I have seen first-hand the positive difference Rātā Foundation’s funding and support has made.

I wanted to add my skill-set and experience to the Board to continue making a difference to our community now and in the future.

What are you most passionate about supporting in the community?

I am passionate about supporting any project which either responds to a need in the community or foresees something and proactively works to manage it.

I particularly enjoy working with skilled and dedicated organisations in the areas of education and career guidance to support people by providing the tools for them to create their own future, and a future for those around them.

I also have a passion for sport and its place in the community providing skills, confidence and resilience at a personal level and connectivity and responsibility at a team level.

What, to you, is one of Rātā Foundation’s greatest achievements and or projects?

Rātā Foundation maintains an excellent reputation of being a professional, sustainable philanthropic organisation which responds to the diverse needs of the community, whilst being forward focused in its strategic approach.
